How to restore fried hair?

Ok so this is the very first time this has ever happened to me frying my hair so I'm a little freaked out and clueless on what to do to fix it. I have short hair... Rihanna inspired, and I'm getting another trim this weekend since my hair has kinda grown out a little bit. Is there any at home remedies I can do to fix it? I've heard of olive oil and I've heard of leaving conditioner in my hair over night. Someone please let me know pleasssse it's an emergency lol. thank you
