Dyeing hair with kool-aid?

Okkay welll im pretty sure its the same thing and it looks like its working but i found the "walmart brand" kool aid packets in my hair, but i totally forgot the conditioner so will it still work? Or can i throw some in right now? And you can rinse it out when its dry right? And btw my hair was died red but it faded to orange and my mom wont let me re do it.
