If you have a mulching mower or a convential mower with a mulching blade, you can leave the clippings on the grass as the grass in finely cut, provided you now regularly. If the grass is too long, it won't work properly. A conventional mower leave large bits of grass, that will lead to thatch buildup over time, and damage your lawn.
